Named
for the owner's mother,, this room is a bright, colorful, mix of textures
and patterns that would have delighted her quilter's eye. A child
of the Depression, she never stopped being frugal and mindful of waste.
She taught country school during WWII, had eight children and once
chased and captured a turkey that fell off the delivery truck so that
the family could celebrate Thanksgiving properly. As
she said at the time, "God will provide."

Textures, color and warmth are abundantly present in Beula's Room. The antique bedstead and dresser provide contrast to the gold, rose and peach tones in the silk kimono, which hangs by the full-size bed. A lace-curtained window faces south and opens on the fenced perennial garden. Roses, delphinium, lilies, hostas, coralbells, sedum, chrysanthemums are a few of the flowers that brighten the view. The sound of crickets, the waterfall and night birds will lull you to sleep at night.
