Named for Eva Clarisa Jordan Ziehe, this room is one of which she would approve. Born in 1892, her mother was a member of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union. She was a country school teacher until she married the blacksmith in 1916. After his death in 1954, she wore black for seven years.

Shiny satins, lace, pastels and the color green dominate this large, airy room. The wicker headboard is a reminder that spring, summer and autumn bring a succession of flowers to the Secret Gardenthe enclosed perenniel garden at the Seven Sisters Bed & Breakfast. Wrap up in Grandma's quilt, take a nap and come down for tea when the shadows get long. Everything looks better after a night in Eva's Room.

The Seven Sisters is conveniently located three blocks from the Jon Hassler Theatera leisurely stroll for guests who want to take in a play. It is also one block from the head the bike trail, 15 minutes from Carly State Park and 25 minutes from Whitewater State Park for those who enjoy the outdoors. And did we mention the excellent hunting and fishing in the Whitewater and Zumbro River Valleys? Or the quaint antique shops? |
